What is Forest Founders Rewards?

Forest Founders Rewards is a new environmental loyalty program designed to help you go green when and where you shop.

Every time you make a qualified purchase at a participating business, we help that business plant a real tree on your behalf - offsetting your carbon footprint through the power of commerce (qualified purchases may vary by participating business).

How does it benefit my business?

Cause-oriented customers are on the hunt for environmentally responsible places to shop now more than ever. Forest Founders Rewards turns your business into a unique destination for this growing market. Increase your reach, lower customer acquisition costs, and increase loyalty with tree-planting offers comarketed through our network.

What will it cost my business?

Partner businesses pay a $2.50 fee per tree planted by customers at their store, billed monthly. Be sure to account for this fee in your offer margin so that you can recoup your expense.

How does it benefit my customers?

Each tree that you plant on a customer’s behalf helps to offset their carbon footprint, and we keep count (8 trees per month makes the average person completely carbon neutral!).

To make things even sweeter, we’ll plant extra trees for free every time one of your customers refers a friend - counting toward both your and the members’ tree planting total.

How do customers plant trees?

When making a qualified purchase at your store, you will give a recyclable certificate containing a QR code to the customer. This is a one-time-use code, valid for planting one tree.

The card instructs the customer to aim their mobile device camera at the QR code and tap the link when prompted. They will be shown confirmation of their tree planting and the total number of trees they have planted to date.

How do my customers join Forest Founders Rewards?

Currently, no membership or login is required for membership - only a qualified purchase at your store. Simply give any customer a QR card, that’s it!

Where are trees planted?

All trees are planted through our partner Trees for the Future.

Where can Forest Founders Rewards members find my business?

Members may check our list of participating businesses online, look for the Forest Founders Rewards window-sticker in their neighborhood, or follow us on social as we announce new Forest Founders Rewards locations.

Do customers have to pay for Forest Founders Rewards?

There is no cost for members to register with Forest Founders Rewards or to plant trees. Trees are planted in exchange for the purchases you deem qualified in your store.
